If you need only some of the countries shown on the map, you can hide the other ones by setting unlistedAreasAlpha to zero. Add the ids of the areas you want to be shown to areas array, leave out the ones that need to be hidden.
This demo shows how you can apply the technique to show only the African continent, using World map.
Alternatively, if you are looking for continental maps, make sure you check out the Premium Map Pack, which has a lot of dedicated continental and regional maps available. The add-on is available for free for all commercial license holders.
